the aurora zone

NASA has predicted that a Solar Maximum will occur in Autumn 2013. A Solar Maximum arises when the Northern Lights are at their most frequent and when the sun reaches the peak of its 11 year cycle;  it is a sight not to be missed.

To give you the best chance of witnessing the Aurora Borealis we have devised a number of autumn Northern Lights trips. Searching for the Northern Lights is a dream for many, but not everyone is looking for a wintery arctic experience. Visiting Lapland in autumn will allow you to witness the leaves change from auburn to red before the winter. This is magical to observe; who would have thought Lapland could resemble New England in the fall.

Be one of the first to experience the Solar Maximum ahead of the crowds that will be attracted in the winter months. If last autumn is anything to go by, the skies will be filled with Aurora before the snow begins to fall.
